This Privacy Policy applies to the websites, games, and applications published by Universal Weebs Unlimited PTY LTD, including Echolalia and Syncophant.

We aim to collect as little information as possible. Depending on the product you use and how you use it, we may collect or process:

Support messages, feedback, or beta-access requests you send to us
Technical, diagnostic, and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve our products
Purchase or subscription information handled by the relevant app store or payment provider

We do not collect the content you create or work with inside our apps (see "Your Content Stays on Your Device" below). We do not sell your personal information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only for legitimate product and business purposes, including:

Providing, maintaining, and improving the features of our apps and website
Responding to inquiries, support requests, and private beta requests
Maintaining security, reliability, and performance
Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our terms

3. Your Content Stays on Your Device

Our apps are designed to work with your content locally on your device and the storage you choose. We do not see, access, collect, transmit, or store the content you create or process in our apps, and we never use it for advertising. For example:

Echolalia — your voice recordings and the transcripts generated from them are created and processed on your device. We cannot see, access, or collect your recordings, transcripts, or any related data.
Syncophant — the files you sync, including their names, paths, and contents, are read and written only on your own devices, drives, and volumes. We do not receive, see, or store them.

Some features may rely on capabilities built into your device or operating system (such as the platform's speech recognition), or on services you explicitly choose to connect. Those are governed by the relevant provider's privacy policy, and content handled that way is not sent to us.

4. Storage and Processing

Your app content is stored on your device and the storage you point our apps at. If you explicitly choose to use a feature that involves cloud storage, syncing, backup, or another third-party service, the relevant data is handled solely to deliver that feature and is subject to that provider's policies.

App stores, platform providers, payment processors, and other third-party services you choose to use may also collect or process information under their own privacy policies.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share information only in the following circumstances:

With service providers that help us operate our website, apps, or customer support
When you explicitly choose to export, share, or connect content to another service
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the relevant service, resolve disputes, maintain security, or meet legal obligations.

If content is stored locally on your device, you can generally delete it from within the app or by removing the app and its local data. If you want us to delete information we control, contact us at [email protected] and we will process your request as required by applicable law.

You may choose whether to grant permissions such as microphone access, speech recognition, file or folder access, or notifications, subject to your device settings. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control.

8. Children

Our website, games, and applications are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information entrusted to us.
